Our workshops provide criminal justice involved women and men with information and connections needed for self-sufficiency.  Zoom Workshops will link participants with other service providers, trainers and employers to develop a career and realize goals.

 

Pre-registration is required.  Sign-up in advance by calling 585-325-7727, Myril and Annette to register.  Provide your phone number and your email address. If you need technical assistance with Zoom let JPC staff know.

The following services are offered:

Identification, rap sheet and rap sheet review and corrections, information about your employment rights and bus passes.

 

We will assist you to prepare an application for a certificate of rehabilitation, after review of the RAP Sheet.   All sealing requests will be referred to our project partners at the Monroe County Public Defender’s Office. 

 

If you have been denied employment due to your criminal history, you may be referred to Legal Assistance of Western New York. 

 

Assistance with: filling out job applications, creating resumes, interviewing and preparation of documents for the certificate of rehabilitation process.

 

Referrals to a variety of additional resources: emergency food, housing information, substance abuse and mental health treatment, employment related services including job coaching and training/job placement program.  JPC provides bus passes and vouchers for used clothing and household items.
